With his rocky up bringing he manage to educate himself to a grade of 9 or 10, he later educated himself, he constructed a custom way of learning that he was able to build on and develop a unique way of processing information. What escapes me is his Sinclair Heritage; he explains that his mothers grandfather Albert Sinclair worked for the missionaries in the Cross Lake, Native Reservation in Northern Manitoba, he languished seven languages and what is known of him is that he traveled from the United States.

In conclusion, Mr. Ranville’s heritage background, there can be a link to him to the Inca’s and the Templars there is no evidence that Keith’s great grandfather Albert Sinclair was a Freemason. I can only speculate that he was a genius and his linguist abilities were handed down to Keith. Also with Keith’s tenacious Scottish Heritage and spiritual Native Heritage may just be the link that is the combination to unlocking the secrets to the Oak Island Treasure Mystery.

If you ever have the chance to meet this individual, the depth of his understandings will captivate your imagination, he has added a tremendous new spark to a once dying oak Island Treasure Mystery. His Popularity is drawing in crowds of people to this mystery like never before, the first by only one person. When it comes to treasure hunting he is far, the coast to coast the most fascinating Treasure Hunter of North America.

Metal Detecting in the State of Florida

If you remember your American history classes in high school, you would know that the Sunshine State of Florida has a long and rich history involving settlements and military forts of our forefathers and the early inhabitants of the United States.

On the other hand, if you are a metal detecting enthusiast, you would know that a place with a rich heritage and a long history will most definitely be an ideal location for metal detecting, which will lead to many fruitful finds. Put these two bits of information together and you will realize one of the best places in the United States to go metal detecting: Florida.

Here are the treasures and valuables you can find through metal detecting in the different places around Florida:

Jewelry and Old Coins

Perhaps the most common items searched for by metal detecting enthusiasts, Florida offers a wide variety of locations where you can freely look for precious antique jewelry and old coins. You can try metal detecting at schools, parks, college campuses, picnic areas, construction sites, race tracks, swimming holes, sports facilities, beaches, natural springs, and camp grounds. For the more adventurous metal detecting enthusiasts, you can visit Florida's ghost towns, locations used for carnivals and town fairs, rodeo arenas, old churches, the foundations of old houses, stone walls, wells, and even old town dumpsites!

Gems

In 1825, silicified coral was discovered around the Tampa Bay area in Florida. It is also abundant in the area of Tarpon Springs and the Suwanee Rivers. These are also a favorite find among metal detecting enthusiasts in Florida.

Hidden Treasure!

Finally, perhaps the most exciting finds in Florida would be those items that are apparently from some lost treasure that were buried during the Great Depression and were never uncovered by the owner or descendants of the owner.

However metal detecting-friendly the state of Florida is; there are still some rules and regulations that metal detecting enthusiasts should always follow. Before you start metal detecting in a location, be sure to check if it is privately owned, in which case, you should ask the permission of the owner first.

On the other hand, if the area is government owned, you must first find out if there are restrictions on metal detecting that apply to the site. It's always better to get the information and be safe than to run the risk of being arrested for trespassing and not following the rules. But of course, you must also remember to have fun and enjoy the many opportunities for metal detecting in the sunshine state of Florida!

Metal Detecting for Hobbyists

There is a wide range of hobbies to choose from. You can read, you can write poetry, do scrap booking, cross stitch a picture you love, or you can try metal detecting. It's not a new thing; it's just not advertised that much so it's not that greatly appreciated by the general public.

There are lots of groups and societies that center on metal detecting. Most of the members of these groups have their own jobs and use metal detecting as a form of hobby, relaxation and diversion to the hustle and bustle of the hectic work they contend on working days.

Joining clubs will even gain you more friends and acquaintances. For the single, you just might meet your soul mate. This hobby can be enjoyable, so you need not be lonely. Finding the right group can be a great help. They will introduce you to a whole new world. They can give you tips and ideas on how to go about pursuing your hobby. They can even tell you about mistakes they may have along the way to help facilitate and enhance your metal detecting skills.

If joining groups is not really your thing, you can still try it out on your own. All you need to do is research first. Read up and load yourself with all the information about metal detection available. It is always better to know what to expect and know what to do. Then get your own machine and go forth. You need not get anything pricey; you just need to be happy at what you are doing. Enjoy your hobby don't be too serious and goal oriented. Sometimes lost items can be seen when we are no longer hunting for them right? Be happy and relax! No need to agitate yourself if you just got trash.

Metal detecting is a good hobby to undertake. It relaxes your mind and exercises your patience and perseverance skills. You can also have a good time moving around, exercising and getting a generous amount of oxygen. Remember oxygen is the main source of life. But the fact is, treasure hunting is more than looking for gold or gems. Treasure hunting is like looking for valuable objects and precious things. For example, an old baby rattle, for most people this stuff is junk but for the mother of the baby whom the rattle belongs, it is very valuable. For it brings lots of memories of intimate moments between mother and child.

So where can you hit upon hidden treasures? Where would you go treasure hunting? In the African jungles? Nope, you can go treasure hunting on the vicinity of your own house or street or city. Treasure hunting usually starts at home. Some people would discover famous old books hidden behind the bookshelf or priceless antiques on the attics of their own house.

When you go treasure hunting it does not necessarily mean that you are looking for gold and gems. Even the most common item in your house might be valuable without your knowledge. For example, think twice before you consider throwing away those old water tubes made of copper, for you will earn extra money if you sell those copper tubes to the junk man.

Old warehouses are a good place to go treasure hunting. There was one owner of an abandoned warehouse (the old warehouse used to manufacture wooden clocks) who never thought that the wooden clocks lying all over the warehouse can still be sold. It wasn’t until somebody suggested to the owner that he could sell those clocks on eBay. Much to the owner’s surprise, the owner sold each wooden clock three times their original price. Now that’s what you call “hit a gold mine”.

There was also another incident wherein there was a couple renovating the house that they have recently purchase. When the couple tore down the walls they came upon some old (and yes valuable too) movie posters, they learned later on that the house was once owned by a theater owner. They have sold the posters for over two thousand dollars.

As most people would tend to hide some money and things, they would tend to forget where they hid them or for some, complete forget that they have hidden something. The idea is just to know the things where to look for. Old coins for example have a tendency of being placed under sinks or bills that are hidden on the inside pages of books are likely to be forgotten.

Treasure hunting can be fun and exciting. You will never know what you will find on your attic or behind the closet.

Is Oak Island’s treasure really on Birch Island

Just got some Great news from Keith , He is geting some great press and starting to find some support other then the treasure hunting community.

First Nations translator deciphers ancient stone as a treasure map

By Angie Zinck- Lunenburg Progress Enterprise – October 18, 2006

WESTERN SHORE – You many have heard about the Da Vinci code, but the Ranville code could be what wolves the longest running treasure hunt in recorded history.

Keith Ranville, a First Nations man, has traveled form Winnipeg ot Nova Scotia in hopes of unlocking the secret codes on Oak Island. He says he has done so by re-translating one of the stones found on the island over 200 years ago.

The Oak Island Tourism Society confirms that the stone in question was first found in 1803 by the Onslow Company. Found 90 feet down the Money Pit, the stone was believed to be two feet long and 15 inches wide, weighing approximately 175 lb.

Since that time, it has been said that the inscription on the stone read “forty feet below two million pounds are buried,” as translated by James Leitchi, a professor of languages at Dalhousie University. Some researchers have questioned this translation as Mr. Leitchi was involved in a treasure hunting company trying to sell stocks.

Today, the actual stone is lost. It was used as a hearthstone in two homes on Oak Islnad, but it was moved to a Halifax store front where it went missing when the building was torn down. Its last known location was round the Centennial Pool area.

Mr. Ranville used pictures of the stone to decipher its series of shapes, lines and dots to reveal a new translation that read more like a map.

“I’ve brought some new stuff to the table,” he says, adding that the stone’s etchings could be used to figure out the mystery of Oak Island.

By his translation, much of the digging in the Money Pit area has been a waste of time and money.

“I believe the pit wasn’t meant to go beyond 100 feet,” he says. “I believe it wasn’t meant to go beyond these symbols.”

If one were to take Mr. Ranville’s code and follow it, it would lead you off Oak Island the site of all the treasure hunting for the past 211 years, under the water of the bay and onto the neighbouring Birch Island via man-made shafts.

Bootlegger cache in Lake Erie

<>Due to the fact I am taking my first trip this weekend as a New WAHD. I am now a full time WAHD, for those of you that don’t know that’s Work at Home Dad. There is not a lot of info out there on them and I do plan to change that.

This now gives me the time I always wanted to do the Treasure Hunting and writing I have always wanted to do. So take a look at Stephanie’s post and let us know what you think. It was a great adventure for us to do it, and working with someone else who has those same goals just makes that feeling continue. (yes that was an offer)

And if your putting together a metal detecting, gold prospecting or treasure hunting trip let me know, I now have a very flexible schedule and can do these things on a moments notice.

Our WAHD Is Proud To Have Reached Internet Marketing Goals

I am proud to say that my husband in now officially a WAHD!

Our goal was to build our online and Internet Marketing business so that he no longer had to work and could join me in our WAH endeavors full-time. And last week, WE DID IT!

It has been magical around our house ever since and our 2 daughters are in heaven to have daddy here working, loving, living and playing! And just in the short time since he quit, we’ve had 5 of the highest income days we’ve ever had thus far.

A lot of people have asked “how” we did it and what I will say is that it was a combination of attitude as well as execution. We chose Adsense, Affiliate Marketing and selling/marketing a small handful of our own digital products, but more than just the mechanical effort (and a lot of backbreaking work on both our parts, I might add) it was “attitude” that made the biggest difference.

We are both strong believers in the power of positive thinking and the impact it can have in your life. At no time did we question whether we would reach our goals, it was simply a foregone conclusion that it would happen. We planned around it, we lived it, and we informed those around us that is was going to happen. And when we took the final step and he closed the door on that chapter of his life, we served notice to the Universe that our time had come. As a result, we have had one phenomenal success after another since the day he quit!

If you have a similar goal, feel free to share your story and make your dreams a reality!

Posted on Stephanie’s Success Blog

Dowsing for Lost and Buried Treasure

You may not know that savvy treasure hunters have been quietly profiting from dowsing for centuries:

Dowsing has been recorded since the time of Moses, for the story of Aaron producing water from the rock (Exodus chapter 17, verse 6) is often quoted as the first written evidence. Even if we dismiss the Biblical claim, dowsers appear engraved on ancient Egyptian stonework and on the statue of a Chinese emperor dating circa 2200BC. Little else of dowsing is recorded until Agricola, in 1556, wrote De Re Metallica, a composition on mining which included an illustration of a German dowser at work.

Almost a hundred years after Agricola, Martine de Bertereau, Baroness de Beausoleil travelled Europe, with her husband, locating mineral deposits by dowsing. They discovered over 150 ore deposits of iron, gold and silver in France alone, before being imprisoned for practising the 'black arts'. Later, in the same century, a particularly interesting book was written by Jean Nicholas de Grenoble published in Lyon in 1691 under the title of La Verge de Jacob or L'arte de Trouver les Tresors, Les Sources, les Limites, les Metaux, les Mines, les Mineraux et autres choses caches par L'usage du Baton fourche. (The Rod of Jacob or the art of finding treasure, springs, boundaries, metals, mines, minerals and other hidden things, by the use of the forked twig). Dowsing then seems to have sunk back into obscurity, although, undoubtedly it continued to be practised, at least for finding of water - the lifeblood of all living things - practised in secrecy, perhaps, because of its occult associations and the Church's condemnation as the work of the devil.

Victorian scientific interest aided by a softening of the Church's attitude brought dowsing out into the open. In 1874, Thomas Welton translated and published Jean Nicholas' book in English. During the following decades a number of respected men, including the physicist, Albert Einstein, performed impressive feats with a variety of dowsing devices. Most of these feats were only of academic value but by the middle of the 20th century dowsing was regularly being put to a great variety of profitable uses.

Farmer J W Young convinced wild-catter, Ace Gutowski, that oil lay beneath West Edmond, Oklahoma by demonstration with a goatskin-covered bottle hung from a watch chain which invariably swung from north to south when over oil. As a result, in 1943, Gutowski drilled a hole and discovered the largest oil deposit in Oklahoma for 20 years. And that is just one of very many examples of oil strikes by dowsers.

Colonel Harry Grattan, CBE, Royal Engineers was given the task of building a new Headquarters for the British Rhine Army at Monchen Gladbach, Germany in 1952. Planning for at least 9000 people who would need 750,000 gallons of water per day was a major project. Water supply was a big problem. Notwithstanding that the British Army preferred the security of it's own water supply, the three local waterworks would have had to upgrade their equipment and pass the costs on in the form of water rates at £20,000 a year. A considerable sum in 1952.

Colonel Grattan knew of a nearby family with a private well, which produced better quality water than any of the waterworks. He employed a geologist with the intention of tapping this source but a trial bore produced very little water. The Colonel was a proficient dowser, however, and decided to use his skills to solve the problem. Using the traditional forked twig the colonel began dowsing and getting reactions everywhere to the west of the test bore. On the strength of this two further trial bores were executed with spectacular results.

The trials showed that the ground was mainly solid clay, but between 73 and 96 feet down there was an aquifer, which produced a copious supply of excellent quality water. The German government, responsible for site construction, were less than convinced by such surveying techniques and were adamant that the water supply would soon dry up. Gaining the support of his superior, General Sugden, Colonel Grattan was able to continue his exploration. Dowsing from horseback, the colonel plotted out the full extent of the aquifer, which extended to within a few hundred yards of two of the waterworks. The British Rhine Army's private waterworks were constructed providing the Army with all the water it needed and savings running into millions of pounds over the years.

Somewhat closer to our quest for buried objects was the work of Major General Scott Elliot, a former president of the British Society of Dowsers who spent many years finding previously unknown archaeological sites by dowsing. His initial plan was that he would find the sites and then hand them over for professional excavation. On discovering that the professionals were not interested, partly through skepticism and partly because they had more than enough sites of their own, the major learned to do his own excavations. He also discovered he could save enormous amounts of time and effort by mapping out the site features by dowsing before he removed the first sod. Nothing spectacular in terms of finds of great intrinsic value were ever reported but nevertheless, over a period of some 20 years the major discovered and excavated an impressive list of sites.

The fairly recent development of treasure hunting as a popular hobby has drawn one or two dowsers to the challenge of using their skills to find buried metal artifacts. In the USA, Louis J Matacia is a surveyor who has studied dowsing for years. During the Vietnam War he was commissioned to teach dowsing skills to US Marines so that they could avoid booby traps, navigate safely through jungles and learn the whereabouts of the enemy. Soldiers reported that using the L-rod in this way saved many lives. Louis is particularly interested in the challenge of the search. Using his dowsing together with a range of scientific devices he has located lost pipes, oil, wells, caves and buried treasures.

The most successful treasure dowser in Britain is Jim Longton from Lancashire. Jim took up dowsing when he retired from the wrestling ring and first hit the headlines in 1990 after finding a spectacular hoard of Viking silver brooches valued at over £42,000 ($80,000). His latest find is potentially Britain's Tutankhamen: a seventeenth century shipwreck, believed to contain untold treasures, including a 230 piece gilt-silver dinner service once owned by Charles I. While divers work on the recovery, Jim is being kept busy locating more treasure wrecks for a marine salvage company.

Visit David’s site for more information on this subject and he lays out a search grid that has helped him in the past

Visit David’s Site Here !

Want to be a Partner in the newest Oak Island Treasure Hunt

It looks like Keith is ready to take the adventure to the next level and is asking all his friends to put the word out to possible investors. I am going to start doing a review on at least 1 of my old books each week, most of these are out of print and can only be found on eBay. But this might give the person interested a better Idea if they want to buy it, or even begins to start looking for that book. I will also start with the books I own that are government pubs that most now are online and any one can get for free.
So what I am asking is any one else interested in doing a review? I will post it with the links to your site or product. (Any one out there with an e-book in any stage of development we can work together on that also) I love new information and working with anyone that will follow through and complete what they say they will do. In contrast to most tribes of North American Indians, the Micmac possess their own written language. This language was supposedly invented and taught to them by Pierre Maillard, a French priest who lived among the Micmac in the Eighteenth Century. The strange part about the Micmac writing is that its signs are often very similar to Egyptian hieroglyphs having the same meanings. B. Fell made this association in his book America B.C. He noted further that the priest Maillard actually had died 61 years before Champollion first published his decipherment of Egyptian hieroglyphics. It is unreasonable, therefore, to believe that Maillard could have invented Micmac writing with its Egyptian affinities. Either the affinities are the product of chance or Pre-Columbian contacts occurred between the Micmac and Egyptian voyagers.

Keith gives us more insight on the complete picture of how he is coming up with new ideas and leads in a treasure hunt on Oak Island that has been going on since 1795, when a young local boy rowed over to the island, found what he thought was signs of recent ground activity directly under a branch with a ships Pulley still attached on it. Beliveing this was the location of a pirate's lost treasure he launched a treasure hunt that has lasted over 200 years and has cost many lives. Keith’s Ideas and plans are the first in a long time that have not just involved going to the island and start digging a hole. As a treasure hunter I respect any one who takes the task to fully research and understand the treasure they are going after before the first shovel of ground is moved. Here is Keith’s latest work on the Oak Island Treasure subject.

Greg Mulac www.Losttreasurehunting.com

WE WERE NOT THE SAVAGES

A Mi'kmaq perspective on the Collision between European and Native American Civilizations

This new, twenty-first -century edition of We were Not the Savages is the culmination of the author's thoughtful rewritings and updating of the first edition and bestseller. It eloquently expands upon the content of the first edition and includes shocking new information about the confrontation between Amerindian and European civilizations. This single volume provides a comprehensive and uncompromising narrative of how the democratic and peaceful Mi’kmaq people were brought to the edge of extinction by a GREEDY, brutal and arrogant enemy. It also chronicles the many abuses the FIRST NATION people have suffered under the misadministration of Canada's Indian Act and explores the complex challenges they now face with non-Native Society.

Daniel Paul N Paul's re-examination of historical records cast serious doubt on early military and political figures society has honored as heroes, and brings us to face to face with the question of who the savages really were when Europeans invaded the Americas. Paul's expose of continuing injustices challenges the image most of us hold of Canada as a fair and compassionate country.

Keith’s interview with Author Daniel Paul

Mr. Daniel N. Paul had told me about the history of the heritage in Nova Scotia and how the Europeans treated the Mi’kmaq people. Mr. Paul N. Paul tells many painful & brutal accounts to many to mention, inflicted on the Mi’kmaq People and how the History books were cooked to protect the image of the earlier Europeans.

Mr. Paul is one of many people I had a chance to speak with he opened my eyes about my research that I was investigating, the stigma I will be up against, as I am a Cree First Nation Native not only I am not from the local Native Bands or the Nova Scotia Local Europeans as well. When I speak of the Oak Island Mystery to Mi’kmaq People I got mixed accounts on stories and found them to be very interesting stories. I met Mi’kmaq Native Elders, an spiritual leaders and they told me information about many things that are a head of me' I now know what they were talking about as I am at the near end of my research.

This Oak Island Treasure Mystery has been very challenging it has been a day to day adventure. I hold information you can’t get from any book, which is what made my research very unique as for me theory it may have Bruised all Oak font-family: Arial; color: black;">.
The symbols appear to be ancient in fact there is a symbol</>
that is in ancient "Greek" meaning four underwater

doors :+: or two to two underwater doors.
and the symbol with a circle with a dot in the center
may mean in or inside.

So the top two symbols confirms the money pits symbols

are genuine and they did exist there are three symbols the

same mention on the money pits stone inscriptions this is a

First Nations Researcher Keith Ranville http://kr.mendhak.com has come up with a very distinctive and interesting interpretation of the Oak Island etchings which differ significantly from the existing interpretations due to his Native Heritage (Canadian) background.

Keith’s use of Google satellite photos and his work on the Skull Stone etching is a Great use of bringing the free technology out there to the Hunt for lost treasure. Below are some of Keith’s new Ideas and another link to his site so you can get the complete story and see the great photos he has there.

I have decoded the symbols found in the money Pit In 1803 using my Native heritage background the translation of the forty symbols explains about a Island two Islands east of Oak Island called birch Island, on the north end of birch Island the impression of a triangle is there it takes more than half of the Island you can see the triangle from Google satellite, the triangles that were inscribed on the stone tablet refers to the triangle on Birch Island the rest of the symbols are engineering instructions or explains what goes on in the triangle area on Birch Island there is something of great heritage value there, that will interest everyone.

Translations of Symbols Found in the bottom layer in the Money Pit in 1803

Triangles, two angles, divides, south/north, at triangles right angles, two doors left of triangle, two doors right of triangle,upper,two,tunnels,divides,doors,triangles,doors,divides,upper/lower,three,tunnels. Indeed, why spend so much on a single vacation when you could visit much cheaper vacation destinations? Never mind if these places don’t even come close to what a Caribbean travel entails.

Ah, but what if we told you that there’s a much better way to spend a vacation? What if we told you that you can go on a Caribbean travel vacation without having to spend a lot of your hard-earned money?

A Caribbean travel for less! Now, there’s a thought.

Below are four chic hotels where you can keep the island flavor high and the prices at a bare minimum while on a Caribbean travel vacation:

Flash and Glamour - Anguilla

The most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, Anguilla is an island known for the flash and glamour of many of its resorts. With all these developments, it’s no wonder that the city became a banking center and is highly considered these days as the world headquarters for 13 Fortune 500 companies.

For more than four decades, the city of Atlanta has been significantly associated to the civil rights movement. It was noted the Civil Rights leaders during the early days have moved forward, and they were the visionaries who saw a new south, which is the new Atlanta. With a strong belief in peace, they made monumental sacrifices for that peace, and it is them who are responsible for Atlanta’s rise. They have lifted the city into a fast-pace modern city which opened its doors to the victorious and successful 1996 Olympics.

It is interesting to know that throughout the history of the city, the die hard Southerners view the place as the heart of the Old Confederacy. Because of this notion, Atlanta has become the best example of the New South – a fast-paced modern community that stood proud of its heritage.

Two decades ago, Atlanta has undergone unprecedented growth. That time, the population of the official city remains suspended, at about 420,000. However, the metro population has grown in the past decade by nearly 40 percent, from 2.9 million to 4.1 million inhabitants. As the city had claimed, a good measure of this development is the ever changing downtown skyline, along with skyscrapers constructed in the Midtown, Buckhead, as well as the outer perimeter business districts.

Since the late 1970s, dozens of incredible skyscrapers designed and developed but luminaries such as Philip Johnson, I. M. Pel, and Marcel Breuer have reshaped the city’s profile. Atlanta is now deemed as the Capital city of the southeast, a city of the future with strong bonds to its past.

The old in new Atlanta is now well-known throughout the world as the soul of the city, the heritage that improves the quality of life in a contemporary community. It is further interesting to know that during the turbulent 60s, the city was known as “the city too busy to hate”, but today, in the 21st century, Atlanta is “the city not too busy to care”.

For more information visit us at http://atlantageorgia.articleinfomart.com/

<link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/26683171/posts/default/1154585586160379
